Some days ago I read a blogpost from Hans, one of our fellow Leadership Branding Course members. He posted that he felt a little lost in the MLM world and that his opportunity did not convince him.
Nevertheless, he wrote with enthusiasm and inspired about MLM, Mark Hoverson’s Training and the idea to find a new opportunity.
I would like to follow this input and ask you a question:
WHAT IS THE REAL REASON FOR NETWORK MARKETERS TO DESPAIR ?
The product or the marketing concept for the product ?
I do not know if this is Hans’s case but a normal network marketer working at a traditional opportunity would say “IT IS NOT THE PRODUCT”.
From my own experience at Herbalife, well-known as one of the first MLM companies in the market, founded in 1980 and today an MLM business with 20 years of experience in wellness and nutrition I can reassure you the following: Herbalife is an MLM opportunity with tradition – and almost all the uplines are doing traditional network marketing. Despair, despair…
So, in my own and in many other cases it is not the product. The product is great, with great labs at UCLA, great scientists all over the world, no lab tests with animals which was an important argument for me to join and wide product ranges of inner and outer nutrition to offer. Jim Rohn was a mentor and the HBO 24h video channel at the homepage is full of his tutorials.
As I said, IT IS NOT THE PRODUCT.
And so we always return to Ann Sieg’s “7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing”.
IT IS THE OLD FASHIONED WAY OF MARKETING.
On my Renegade Professional sales page I am telling people that I started a traditional network marketing business three years ago and that I was always thinking that there was something missing. A modern marketing concept.
The result: I was not alone with my feeling. For the same reason many of us are doing this training with Mark Hoverson and we recommend Mike Klingler’s tutorials.
My conclusion: Before blaming it on the product (which must have convinced you in the first place to join the opportunity) and starting to change from MLM opportunity to MLM opportunity which is a concept that leads nowhere, start looking for solutions of how to brand yourself and your product in order to become outstanding.
